Neighborhood overview

Sugar Mountain is home to the best skiing in the high country and is a quick drive from Banner Elk, Boone, and Beech Mountain. The property is located 2.5 hours from CLT Douglas airport.

Transit

4x4 or AWD is a must in winter. Guests are responsible for any costs associated with vehicle damage, tow or other impacted guests. Home is on A paved drive with a gravel driveway, lined with boulders on either side. Take care to not damage your vehicles on the boulders.

Firstly, Gary was GREAT! He was so responsive, helpful and accommodating to our specific needs. Hands down, the best host we’ve ever dealt with! As for the house, so colorful and such unique decor! We loved it. The hot tub…amazing! Highly recommend a stay with Gary

The photos do not do this place justice! The view of the linville gorge, mountains, and unique rooms were better than we could imagine! The hot tub and fire pit were perfect hang out spots. Gary was a super responsive and accommodating host. Will definitely stay here again!! 10/10
